Woodland gardens
The woodland gardens I create are inspired by nature. Planted with ferns, shrubs, wildflowers and spring bulbs, they offer year-round appeal with layers of lush green foliage and a tapestry of colours, scents and shapes. A space that oozes calm and tranquillity, they provide a wonderful source of green therapy in our busy lives, even in the smallest of spaces. Wildlife friendly, immersive and easy to manage.

Dry / Gravel gardens
A dry or gravel garden is a different kind of garden – an appealing choice for an outdoor area that breathes life into any space. My designs take inspiration from such places as Derek Jarman’s Prospect Cottage and Beth Chatto’s gravel garden. The planting is very versatile – bulbs, grasses, perennials and trees with less weeding, much less watering and no mowing!
Who’s the designer
Based near Canterbury in Kent, I am a garden designer, plantswoman and horticulturist. I design and create gardens throughout the UK.
My specialism is designing woodland and gravel gardens, whether a neglected corner or the creation of a larger scheme. I can also design and plant other garden styles, including wildlife-friendly, cottage and coastal gardens.
Across all my projects - large and small - I love to create natural, sustainable spaces that work for people.
