About Clare

A firm believer in the ‘right plant, right place' concept, I design and create beautiful and sustainable gardens you’ll want to spend time in.

A graduate of the KLC School of Design in London, I hold an open learning Diploma in Garden Design awarded with distinction. I am a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers – the main professional organization representing the industry – and have worked on medal-winning show gardens at RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court flower shows.

As well as being a qualified designer, I have extensive ‘hands on’ gardening experience, including working as a self-employed garden care specialist and as a plant consultant at a leading UK nursery.  Under a training scheme run by the Women’s Farm and Gardens Association, I learned valuable gardening skills at Barnsdale gardens (created by the late Geoff Hamilton from BBC Gardeners’ World and where Adam Frost trained).

In my ‘previous career life’ in the corporate and public sector, I obtained a Diploma in Business Management: so you can expect a professional, business-like approach founded on good communication and trust.

I am a member of the Kent Wildlife Trust and like to think my gardens ‘do their bit’ to help create a more sustainable and wildlife friendly future.
